Introducing the 2021 America’s Favorite Pet winner, Raoh (pronounced like growl without “G” and “L”)! This adorable little blue French Bulldog was born on June 20th, 2020 with four brothers and a sister. Much like the Japanese anime character he’s named after, Raoh is physically strong but has a gentle, caring side to him. His pet parents say he never barks or growls at other dogs and is always ready to play with them. He is even more lovable with people when he cuddles them and showered them with kisses.
Raoh’s parents entered him in the competition when they saw a registration link for America’s favorite animal on the Chicago French Bulldog Owners Facebook page. They knew their stupid pup had great potential to go far, but when they saw him go forward week after week, they saw that he had something very special.
After taking first place, his father said, “In our eyes he is a beautiful, well behaved, friendly, loving puppy. Since he was nine weeks old, everyone and dogs he met on the street fell in love with him. Even people who walked their dogs would say, “Oh, she’s not kind” or, “He doesn’t get along well with puppies.”
But Raoh won them over and these people were amazed at how Raoh changed their dogs! We weren’t sure if the rest of the world would feel the same way, but they do and they voted him America’s favorite animal! ”Raoh has a pretty easy-going lifestyle. He sleeps, meets, eats, hunts squirrels, plays soccer with his father, takes a nap, watches TV (every show with animals and wildlife are his favorites) and sleeps again – on his back, legs up. And yes, he snores; But just imagine what a cute little snore it is. Raoh’s favorite cuddly toy is a toy monkey that was given to him by his girlfriend Tamari, and his favorite orange and blue ball was given to him by his friend Mike P. (his puppy food).
This pooch is the perfect gentleman as he treats others with love and respect. “His prize money will go into a savings account and we will make regular donations to PAWS and other worthy organizations that promote healthy and happy lifestyles for all dogs and help homeless dogs find homes. Raoh is a big supporter of dogs that keep children with terminal illnesses and those in retirement homes company, ”said his father.
America’s Favorite Pet Contest is open to all dogs of any breed, size, age, or temperament. “If your love is purebred, mixed breed, rescue, or has a physical or emotional challenge, this competition accepts everyone and everyone is treated equally and has an equal chance to win! So let your dog’s soul shine and kick him or her in next year. Raoh will cheer them all on as winners! “
It is clear that Raoh is very much loved by his parents and everyone who comes in contact with him. Wait till you see what’s next for Raoh! Follow him on Instagram: @raoh_the_blue_frenchie.
“A dog is pure love and completes every home and every life”
Did you know already? The Blue French Bulldog is a color variety of the French Bulldog that the AKC lists as the fourth most popular breed. Genetics in their coating create this wonderful blue color. Most of them are very affectionate like Raoh and should not be left at home alone for too long or avoided at home. They are stupid dogs with funny habits. If you are looking to adopt a French Bulldog, the important thing to know is that it should be kept mainly indoors as it is prone to allergies and does not like to get dirty.
