The documentary STRAY, directed and produced by Elizabeth Lo, will premiere on March 5th.

March 5, 2021: Premiere of the documentary STRAY

STRAY is filmed through the eyes of three stray dogs in Istanbul and explores what it means to live as a being without status or security. Zeytin, Nazar and Kartal are looking for food and shelter that travel through Turkish society and give viewers an unvarnished portrait of human life and dog culture. The different lives of Zeytin, Nazar and Kartal intersect when they form close relationships with a group of young Syrians who share the streets with them. The gaze of these strays acts as a window into the overlooked corners of society: women in loveless marriages, demonstrators without weapons, refugees without refuge. The film is a critical observation of human civilization through the unfamiliar gaze of dogs and a sensory journey into new perspectives. Directed and produced by Elizabeth Lo.
